An extensive extended voyage through the Land Down Under was terminated days after the tragic passing of an older woman who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a distant island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the vessel, but broke off from the group for a break. The vessel sailed away leaving her and came back several hours later after the crew became aware the woman was missing.

An extensive search operation discovered her body the following day.

Officials are looking into the tragedy, in coordination with investigators and the official investigator.

The CEO of the cruise operator stated that travelers and personnel on the Coral Adventurer were notified that the continuation of the journey had been cancelled due to the "sad loss and earlier technical problems".

Via official communication, he mentioned that travelers would be given a total repayment, and said the operator was working "to coordinate the return journeys of the individuals via specially arranged planes".

Authorities also published an revised announcement, and said they had "issued a directive to the Commander" preventing any additional guests from boarding the ship.

She further stated that she desired the inquiry would be able to identify what "the operator should have performed that might have protected Her life".

"We understand from the police that it was a exceptionally warm period, and mother fell ill on the uphill trek," she stated.

"She was asked her to go back, alone. Then the vessel left, apparently without doing a headcount.

"During some point in that sequence, or soon after, mother succumbed, by herself."

Operator Response

In a statement, the Head affirmed that the organization was "collaborating extensively with officials to assist their examination".

He stated that the company was "deeply sorry that this has transpired" and had provided its full support to the family.
