19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev won his maiden trophy for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after March of the previous year.
Victory also signifies he has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children together, so to win a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's retrieving play style and regular emotional displays on court had prompted commentators to doubt if his ability to compete at the highest level was concluded.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an improved serve.
He fought back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional championship, took control to create a decider.
He rescued four initial break points in a tight deciding set before the champion broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, he earned the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
